Rossal House has had a very varied and interesting history since it was built, initially as a family home for a prominent Doctor, and also as maternity hospital serving the town of Inverness. Many of the City's residents were either born here, or have connections to the property. The current owners have worked hard over the last 20 years transforming the property back into a comfortable residential home for guests to enjoy the character and tranquility of the area.

  • Road from A9 Northbound (4.6 miles)
    When approaching Inverness from Perth on the A9, turn right onto the A8082, signposted for Raignore A&E Hospital. Continue along this road, travelling straight over 8 roundabouts. Eventually you will reach the 9th roundabout with Tesco Supermarket on the right. Take the 4th exit off this roundabout onto the B862 and continue along the road for approx 1.1 miles. Rossal House is on the right hand side.
  • Road from Inverness Train Station (1.8 miles)
    From the train station exit turn right onto Academy Street, after 330 yards turn right at the traffic lights onto Friars Lane. follow the road round which leads into Bridge street.  At the Bridge crossroads turn left onto Castle Street, following the road up and round to the right, you will see Inverness Castle at the top of the embankment on your right. Turn right at the traffic lights and follow the road as it winds down the hill onto Haugh Place. Continue along the road for approx 1 mile and you will eventually see Rossal House on the left hand side.
